Privacy Policy
Thermalsock Labs is a small set of browser-based tools for sound and music experimentation. This page explains what happens to your data when you use them - the short version is: almost nothing leaves your device.
What these tools do locally
Web Oscilloscope, Sound Design, Signal Path, and Transient Lab all run entirely in your browser. Where they use data:
- Microphone / audio input (Oscilloscope, Transient Lab's audio analysis) - processed live in your browser for display only. Nothing is recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere.
- MIDI input (Transient Lab) - read directly by your browser to judge notes you play. Not transmitted anywhere.
- Local storage - some tools save small preferences (like a color theme, or a Signal Path rig layout you build) in your browser's local storage, on your device only. This never leaves your browser and isn't accessible to us.
Analytics
As of this writing, this site does not run any analytics or tracking scripts. If that changes, this section will say so, name the service, and explain what it collects.
Third-party links and embeds
This site links out to a few third-party services, each with their own separate privacy practices we don't control:
- Buy Me a Coffee - if you choose to support the project, that transaction happens entirely on their site under their own privacy policy.
- Steam / the App Store - links to Rudiment's store listings go to those platforms directly.
- Google Fonts (where used) - may load fonts from Google's servers, subject to Google's own privacy policy.
Cookies
These tools don't set their own tracking cookies. Third-party embeds above (payment or storefront pages you're sent to) may use their own - that's between you and them once you leave this site.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects what data is collected, the "Last updated" date at the top will change and, where practical, a note will be added to the hub page.
Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent via the Buy Me a Coffee page's messaging, until a dedicated contact address is set up here.
